CHM Holds Future Ready Career Day
Monday, February 8, 2016 -
Students at Chestnut Hill Middle recently had the chance to explore a variety of career options during the school’s annual Future Ready Career Day.
The seventh- and eighth-graders attended sessions presented by Central New York professionals and learned about the aptitude, skills and education needed for each career. The students explored fields such as movie production, firefighting, network security, precision manufacturing, architecture, teaching, engineering and robotics.
CHM students also attended a motivational presentation called GetLIVIN where they learned about the importance of setting and achieving goals. Liverpool High School graduate Joe O’Connor created GetLIVIN in 2014 and visits schools across New York State to encourage others to “get out and take action, find their passions, chase their dreams, and live life to the fullest.”
