LHS To Showcase World Languages and Cultures with Carpe Café Olé
Tuesday, February 23, 2016 -
The Liverpool High School Foreign Languages Department will host a showcase of student talent in world languages on Friday, March 11, from 6 to 8 p.m. in the LHS Auditorium Commons.
Carpe Café Olé will feature singing, dancing, acting and musical performances, as well as food sampling, crafts and cultural exhibits.
“We are very excited to bring forth this collaboration between students and faculty members to celebrate not only the cultures taught here at LHS, but for students to share their families’ cultures and traditions with the whole community,” said LHS French teacher Anna Burns. “Especially in today’s world, it is paramount that students learn acceptance and tolerance of other cultures to help us shape better leaders and a better world tomorrow.”
