Lore Named ‘Outstanding Senior in French’

Liverpool High School senior Maria Lore has received a 2016 Outstanding Senior inmarialore French Award from the American Association of Teachers of French (AATF).

Lore currently takes French 5 Honors with LHS foreign language teacher Anna Burns. In addition, Lore is an officer in the LHS French Club, participated in National French Week activities, and is a member of the French Honor Society.

The Outstanding Senior in French Award is presented annually to a graduating senior who has demonstrated excellence in the study of French as well as exceptional commitment to the French language and the many cultures where it is spoken.

Recipients must have completed at least three years of French study at the time of graduation and be a non-native speaker of French. The AATF was founded in 1927 and its mission is to promote the study of the French language and French-speaking cultures at all levels.
